Computer equipment in general and PCs in particular contain materials
that can be harmful to the environment. For the sake of the environment,
Tech Wizards urges you to donate your old computer
equipment if possible. If
you would rather just dispose of it then please dispose of it properly by
taking the
old hardware to a hazardous-materials disposal facility.
There are many organizations that will accept donations of computers and
certain other computer system equipment. Two such organizations are the
Kramden Institute and
the Cristina Foundation.
Go to their web sites (by clicking on their names) to learn more about these
organization and to find out how to donate your computer equipment.
If you need to dispose of computer equipment we strongly recommend that you
take it to the North Wake Multi-Materials facility for recycling.
If you contact us for a service call and have computer equipment that needs
to be disposed of we will be glad to take it to the recycling center for you
at no additional charge. Or you can take it yourself Monday through Saturday
from 8 am to 4 pm (closed on New Year's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving,
Christmas). The facility is located at 9004 Deponie Drive (off Durant
Rd in North Raleigh).
