We provide pick-up
and delivery service from and to your location for a small extra charge.

turnaround time for Pick-up/Delivery Service is 3-5 business days (sometimes
quicker). We do offer both "Rush Service" and "Emergency Service" for
an additional charge.

SPECIAL $75 FLAT-RATE LABOR RATES
The following special $75 flat-rate charges apply to all Pick-up/Delivery repair
customers and are applied per device. Please note that
these rates do not include any parts charges (which will be extra if
provided by Tech Wizards) and do not include the Pick-up/Delivery charge. These rates do not apply to
business customers or servers.
- Diagnostics - Includes written insurance estimates. This charge does not apply in cases where repairs are
authorized to be performed while the computer is in our shop for
- Password Reset - Applies to Windows or BIOS password resets.
In the rare event that technical limitations prevent us from resetting
your password then only a $25 minimum charge will apply.
- RAM Memory upgrade - Does not apply in the rare event that laptop
disassembly is required.
- Internal components - Includes power supplies, drives, add-on cards,
and desktop PC case fans.
- Laptop keyboards - Applies only when keyboard is easily accessible
(which most are).
PICKUP/DELIVERY SERVICE LABOR RATES
The following rates apply to Pick-up/Delivery service (Pick-Up/Delivery Charge is
- Labor: $132 for the first hour of "hands on" service, then $33 per quarter hour
(we do not charge for "wait time" incurred during in-shop service for
things like scanning for viruses, transferring files, downloading and
installing installation files or Windows updates, etc.).
- Pickup/Delivery Charge - $20 if we pick up your computer
from your location, repair it, and return it to you. Additional
charges apply if you want us to disconnect and reconnect the cables and power it
on to demonstrate that all repairs were completed successfully (click
here for details).
- Maximum labor charge for a single issue repair: 3 hours (except if
an OS reinstall is required).
- Rush Service/Emergency Service Fee: $75 - Applies only if we have to
bump other in-shop repair jobs in order to put you at the "head of the
line" for service. Additional $50 charge applies if technician
must work beyond normal business hours to get your computer back to you
PICKUP/DELIVERY SERVICE PROCEDURE (credit or debit card
Here is the procedure for obtaining PICKUP/DELIVERY service from Tech Wizards...
- To save time, complete our Online Service Request form (click
here), or call us at 919-841-5506 to arrange for in-shop service.
Once we obtain the needed information about you and the service you need,
we will create a Service Ticket and co-ordinate with you the pick-up of your computer. At this point a $50
payment (via credit or debit card only) will be required. The full
amount of this deposit will be applied to your total repair labor
- When we pick up your equipment you will be given a receipt listing
the equipment we picked up and the amount of the deposit you paid
when you called to arrange for drop-off service.
- Your Tech Wizards technician will contact you regarding the service
requested and the service deemed as needed (unless specific instructions
were provided by you, negating the need for a phone call at this point).
- Your technician will then call or email you when service has been
completed to let you know the total repair charge and arrange a time to deliver your computer
to you, at which point full payment (including the Pick-up/Delivery
Charge) will be collected (cash, check or credit card).
